Buzzers and Bloodworms working best.
A change in the weather has seen the anglers out in force this week. The best methods have again been Buzzers and Bloodworms but Lures with a touch of yellow, red, orange or lime green have all been taking their fair share of fish.
Sandy Mathew weighed in 2 fish for 9lb, Willard Yeoman, from Portlethan, returned fish of 5lb and 9lb for his day. John Welsh, from Aberdeen, released fish of 11lb and 7lb. Alan Noble, from Aberdeen, released 14 rainbows with several fish in the 3 - 5lb range. Mathew Hines, from Portlethan, repeated the feat, mostly on Buzzers again releasing some good fish.
Mr McAskin, from Arbroath, had his first visit to Raemoir and was delighted with his day, returning 12 fish. On Holiday from Russia, Mr Alexander and his wife tried their hand at fishing for the first time and were delighted to catch a pristine 4lb fish.
The Fishery will be the venue for another Fly Tying class on Saturday 3rd Feb at 10am, the class is open to all and is free.
Application forms for the Grampian League, which starts in March, are available from the Fishery and should be returned as soon as possible.
Club Members are reminded that Club Dues must be paid by the end of the month to guarantee your place before membership is opened up.
